The Talbott community, along with loved ones in West Virginia, is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Levi Hunter Tilley, age 28, who passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025. Born and raised in McGraws, West Virginia, Levi carried the values of home with him throughout his life — strength, kindness, family devotion, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. His passing has left a profound void in the lives of all who loved him.
Levi was a proud graduate of Wyoming East High School, where he made lasting friendships and built the foundation of the hardworking, loyal man he would become. He later went on to work at Nyrstar Mine, where he was respected not only for his work ethic but for his steady, dependable presence. Whether on the job or at home, Levi was the kind of person people leaned on — supportive, sincere, and always willing to lend a hand.
He was a devoted husband to Kara Tilley, and together they built a beautiful family grounded in love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Levi’s greatest joy in life came from being a father to their two young sons, whose lives he filled with warmth, adventure, and endless affection. To them, he was not just a dad but their hero — someone who showed them the world through hikes, outdoor exploration, and the simple, irreplaceable moments that become treasured memories.
Family meant everything to Levi. He was a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. His loved ones remember him as a man with a generous heart, a gentle spirit, and a life lived with intention and purpose. As one family member shared, “He lived a life that we can only strive to achieve. Rest easy, Levi, until we have a big family reunion in heaven.”
Levi also found peace and joy in the outdoors, where he felt most connected to the world around him. Whether exploring nature or spending time with those he loved, he carried an appreciation for life’s simple beauty that inspired everyone around him.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, prior to the service. Fielden Funeral Home is honored to serve the Tilley family, and a full obituary will follow soon.
